non-standard interior colour scheme
Inspired directly by the style, the layout, the shapes and colours of the famous Dutch painter Piet Mondrian whom well known for his simplistic, yet distinct style – De Stijl, the apartment was applied with a non-standard interior colour scheme which was based on the abstraction of all forms into orthogonal lines and planes, and all the chromatic palette into primary colours, white and black to create visual impact with tonal accents in primary colours.
The vibrant colours serve to delineate the spaces by giving each room it’s own individual character. All functional areas feature a specific colour, and the main volume of each room is monochromatic and graphical. Each room has several lighting methods designed so that all areas are lit with different intensity, creating a common filling light accentuating certain elements of the interior.
